I'm selling this 1968 Mustang GT for my 84 y/o mom. My dad passed away and left it to her. She has lots of bills to pay, so she needs it sold. I only know what my dad had told me about the car and what I can see and hear, but I'll due my best to describe it. Please only bid if you intend to to pay. My mom needs her bills paid and can't afford to have the high bidder back out. So, please ask all your questions and study the pictures before you bid. This Mustang GT is a true GT not a fake. Original color was Sea Foam Green. Has, power steering, manual drum brakes, ceiling console, after market CD player. tagged and ready to be your daily driver. This is a 1968 Ford Mustang GT with the "J" code 302 engine and an automatic transmission. The engine, transmission and rearend are all original to the car. The engine has a Eldebrock 4 bbl carb and intake with Hooker headers. I believe the engine was rebuilt a few years ago. The engine starts right up and sounds geat. it does sound like there is an exhaust leak under the car somewhere. The transmission shifts through all gears fine. rearend is quiet. The Mustang drives good. I drove it about 100 miles today to check everything out. Everything seems to work okay except the clock, oil pressure and temp gauges and the map lights on the ceiling console don't work. The tires will need to be replaced if driving far. It doesn't smoke or leak anything. It was real fun to drive. I know it has new window regulators in the doors and new rubber at the bottom of the door glass and around the wing windows. The headliner is perfect. The seats and carpet are original from what I can see, but look good. I think the door panels are new. The dash pad looks good and might of been replaced. I looked under the car and took some pictures. The frame rails look good. It has some soft spots on the rear floor. looks like it has a floor patch on the front passenger side. The trunk looks to be rust free. Also the shock towers in the engine bay are also rust free. I believe all the body panels are original to the car as far as I can tell. the paint looks very good. the body is straight with no dents or scratches that I can see. Most of the chrome trim is also original which means they have dings in most of them. I had to buy a new gas cap and two small peices of chrome for the rear of the car, which is still missing the "MUSTANG" letters on the truck. The holes are there with the clips. I was told when it was painted, the paint shop miss placed these peices. And for some reason, there are no springs on the hood hinges. The car is painted a Copper Pearl. It is a beautiful color, But it was very hard to get the color to show in the pictures. Some of the pictures are just trying to show the correct color. If you need to know anything more, just ask.
