Hello and welcome to my auction! Up for sale is a 1966 MK1 Lotus Cortina look-a-like, 90%, finished project. I have owned this car for a while now, but due to my lack of time and space, sadly the car needs to go. This car was running with the original GT engine and transmission before I started the restoration. Now there is a running Lotus Twin Cam engine fitted into the car. Engine and interior: · A Lotus twin cam engine that came out of MK2 Cortina donor. · I am including the original GT engine and the original GT dashboard instruments in the auction. · As you can see in the pictures—all the seats, door cards, and the center console are there. · Also included are: a brand new headliner, a brand new brake booster, a Lotus badge, and original Lotus double horns. · I will provide the trunk and door seals. · Two Strombergs carburetors; they need the air filter housing and the air filters. · The engine has the manifold but there is no exhaust. · You will need to buy a right clutch; the old clutch does not work with the current Lotus engine. · The car will need a battery. · You will need to re-fit all the trims, door locks, head lamps, front grill, all the badges and some of the seals. · You will need to buy the passenger and driver windows seals. The hardest part of this project is done—the body work and paint. The car is in storage at my friend's dealership in Maryland; very close to Washington DC.
