Vehicle Detail
Gtrench Store This is what appears to be a mostly original Honda CL90 Scrambler. Not sure of the year, probably around 67. It's got a great retro look, doesn't look new, it's not supposed to!! From what I can tell the tank is original paint, but the frame has been touched up in a few spots (perhaps with the factory Honda blue accessory paint, since it looks like the original color-see pic of what appears to be painted over welds at the headlight ears). The seat has been recovered, and the original "pink" foam has been replaced, its kind of spongey, but comfy. There is a ripple dent on the front fender as pictured. It's been sitting for years, and fired up after cleaning up the carb. There's a little rattling/vibrating noise, but it doesn't seem to be the engine, maybe exhaust shield/pipe or something? I put it through all its gears and parked it. All of the lights work perfectly, horn, ect...key included. Check out the super cool Honda Accessory kick stand, it even has the "HM" logo on it. I bought this bike to go with my Honda S90, but the garage is full and something has to go. It needs a battery ( I bought the wrong one, it's the right size and will run it but the overflow pipe goes to the wrong side). I also have a clear California title, haven't put it in my name yet. There is an original black CA plate, and the title matches....that's pretty cool!!!! This is an old bike, so there are scratches, nicks, rust spots ect....front tire is cracked badly. Look at the pics and ask questions. In the last pic you'll see a spare tank with nice knee pads, chaingaurd (mounts are cracked), and package carrier. Pick up only...shipping is up to you. Please ask questions if you have them! On Feb-02-13 at 16:00:33 PST, seller added the following information: Here's a quick update. I cleaned the petcock out and now the bike will idle better...seems to run pretty good. I'm still hearing a noise. It seems like an exhaust noise or something, I put on a new exhaust gasket thinking that was it but it wasn't it. I check the valves and the entire top end and everything is is perfect order. Would the clutch make a ticking/rattling noise? I don't know much about these bikes, but I do know that my S90 runs much quieter. I just want to be as forthcoming as possible...I"m always nervous selling bikes on ebay! This bike is sold as is, like any other old bike, so please ask questions if you have the and be aware that I have done the best I can to describe this bike. By the way, a partially restored one of these went for close to $2500 a few weeks ago, even if this one needs a new clutch or something it's a deal! Thanks for looking!
