I have been meaning to list a lot of these items for sale for more than a year now. Although there is a unique reason why I’ve chose to sell each of them, the universal one right now is I have 4 weeks to raise $200k to complete a cash deal on a real estate transaction. So waiting is no longer an option. I would have preferred to wait until spring broke to sell some of them, like my motorcycles, wave runners, etc…as I think I would probably get a few bucks more for them, but right now that’s not an option. Plus, I have a four year old boy and a one year old girl. So a lot of my toys that I used to enjoy very much when I was childless, I just can’t have right now unless I’m ok with the distinct probability that I will almost certainly come home one day to find it thoroughly destroyed and that would kill me. One of the items I am referring to is my extensive collection of classic stereo equipment. I have stuff by Pioneer, Nikko, Marantz, Bose, etc… from back when these companies made incredible equipment. Since it would appear it will be at least fifteen years before I can take them out of storage safely, I am going to allow them to relocate to a good home were they will be treated with the tenderness and careful attention they deserve? Not come to find my one year old finds it fascinating to feed oatmeal to my Nakamichi Dragon. OMG what a day that was. Since it appears I am never going to find the time to list all the stuff I need to sell, for the past couple of weeks I have had a young man, Ivan, assist me. He is a great guy, hungry, honest as hell and a very hard worker. However he is also new to selling on EBay and also has a limited knowledge on the items he is listing. Because of this, there are a lot of things missing in some of the auctions descriptions which in turn is generating a substantial number of questions. Rather than answer each question individually which would take a considerable amount of time, I have read them all to date and will answer all of them here and now. I will also add to the descriptions some additional info that may hopefully answer some questions yet to be asked. My goal is to have all the info anyone could ever want and thus produce zero questions. Hopefully this will achieve that goal and everyone’s current and future questions will be answered. Up first is my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider. At the beginning of this summer I decided I needed a convertible. I saw this one for sale and thought it would be a fun ride. I bought it, took it to my mechanic and had him go over it. He put on 4 new tires, replaced the battery, changed or topped up fluids as necessary, and generally went through the whole car. I think I spent a little over $1000 when all was said and done. Almost immediately after getting this car all set up a friend told me about a Corvette convertible that he knew of for sale. I went to look at it, fell in love with it and bought it on the spot. Since that time I’ve barely driven the Spider. (I should have bought the Vette with 5 spd so the wife would drive the Spider, but noooooo, she has to drive the Vette too.) Anyway, the Mitsu has basically just sat around unused since I bought it so it must go. So onto your questions: The top does leak. This really did not concern me as I have enough garages to house all of my cars. I did not even look to see where it is leaking from. The top itself looks very nice and appears to be in great shape; other than the leaking part.
