1999 dodge ram 2500 with v10 motor. Automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive. Truck is in very nice shape, I"ve seen many other 99's that are rusted out but this one is still very presentable. Has some rust on box above the wheel wells and on the drivers side fender at very bottom. Hard to see unless you bend down and look. Inside of box has normal wear with scratches and dings. There are some mounting holes inside the box between the wheel wells, looks like it may have had a fifth wheel hitch at some point but I dont know for sure. Runs and drives very good, I just had the oil changed a few days ago at the dealership and a new battery installed. Its been cold here the last few weeks and the other battery died, it now has a new mopar labelled battery from dealership and works just fine. There is a slight rattle I've noticed on first start up in the morning. It only last about 5 seconds. I asked the dealership to check it out, they said it could be several things, the worst case senerio is it may have a bad rod bearing. They quoted $500.00 to put new bearings in it, this can be done by dropping the oil pan with motor still in truck. Well if they are not sure at this point I dont plan to just start buying parts it dont need. They said not to worry about it because it only last for a few seconds and stops, could just be the cold weather. If it was serious they said it would do it all the time. I am not a mechanic so I'll take their word for it. The interior is very clean, there was a small rip in drivers seat but since the pics were taken its been sown and looks alot better. Very nice radio with cd player that works. Shows very good oil pressure at all times. Has alot of goodies from the factory, air, cruise, fog lights, running lights on top of cab, compass, miles till empty indicator and more. 4 wheel drive works fine, I've used it a couple of times at my house. I live in the country with a long driveway that drifts really bad with blowing snow and sometimes 4 wheel drive comes in handy. Truck has just under 170,000 miles, currently reading 169,721 but that number will change because I do drive the truck. If it sells I will park it untill its new owner picks it up. Shipping is the responsibility of buyer. I will work with a shipper of your choice but you must set it up or come in person and drive it home. With the V10 motor it passes everything but a gas station... Tires have good tread left so that wont be an issue, brakes work good with no squeaks or grinding. I took it to an alignment shop a few weeks ago and everything checks out, no repairs needed. They said everything is within specs, they used alot of terminology I dont understand nor can I repeat it so I'll keep it simple, its straight in the front end. I do have a reserve on this truck, I'm not in dire need to sell it so I dont plan on giving it away. I've seen rusty trucks with more miles sell for higher than my reserve so if it dont reach reserve I'll just keep it. I do have my eye on another vehicle that I plan to buy if this one sells. This is alot of truck built to work, I dont plan to ever tow or haul anything that will require this much muscle so I would like to downsize to a 1500 instead. Good luck bidding...
