Up for auction is a 1961 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon 6 door limousine made by Armbruster/Stageway Co. Car appears to be complete and ready to be restored . car is equipped with a 389 V/8 engine, automatic transmission. Floors all seem to be solid and no holes. original carpet and floor mats still in the car. This car has been sitting for over 20 years. The motor turns over and wants to fire but the carb is leaking gas and flooding out ( needs to be rebuilt) The brakes are gone and need to be completely gone through . I do not have nay idea on the transmission because I have never actually driven this car. The dash looks to have all parts and pieces, the lighter is still there and the radio. ( radio turns on and crackles ) I cannot say personally that the motor and trans are the originals but by the looks of it all I think it is . ( My opinion) The roof air conditioning will need work , there is a heater core under one of the back seats for heat in the rear of car that is leaking and need repairs. The right rear quarter panel has had some very poor repair work done at one time and the bondo is now falling out after someone looks to have run into it ( see pictures) the rest of the body is straight , there are rust bubbles on some of the lower parts of doors and rocker panels ( see pictures) The hood hinge springs are missing and needs a support to hold up this heavy hood, bumpers are in decent shape will need re-chroming, missing one of the original Pontiac hub caps. I have the original ignition key but do not have the door lock key or the key to roll down the rear window. The luggage compartment on top appears to be complete with wooden slats for setting down your fine luggage. all the glass is good with the exception of one rear passenger side door window. Antenna is missing. The water pump needs to be re-placed. At some point in time the fuel pump went bad and was replaced with an electric pump ( works) the original pump is still bolted to the block. this car looks to be all there and will make a great restoration project. The car is almost 25' long, if making any transportation quotes make sure to add that to your quote. This car is 52 years old and has been sitting along time it does require work to make it road worthy. I have tried to represent this vehicle to the best of my knowledge.
