Where else can you find shoal draft, inboard diesel, wheel steering, full galley, full head with shower, dedicated quarters for 5 (+2 in dinette) all in a boat under 30 feet? Morgan Out Island 28': -totally liveaboard worthy and ready to sail!! GREAT condition for its age! -3'6" shoal draft, 10' beam, 45' bridge clearance -wheel steering (hard to find in sailboats under 30' and rare for this model) -sails I believe to be original (very stiff and attest to light use of this boat over the years) with roller furling jib (jib needs some restitching of about 12" section about halfway up trailing edge, but fully functional as is) also main sail cover is old and warn, but functional -yanmar 12 horse diesel RUNS EXCELLENT (recent impeller, starts first time every time) with new custom made galvanized exhaust system -sleeps 6-7, but most comfortable for 4 for extended cruising -forward v-birth (sleeps 2 comfortably) -aft port 1.5 birth (good for 2 kids or a cozy coupe, no cushion) -aft starboard single birth (no cushion) -full galley to starboard with icebox, alcohol stove, stainless sink, and lots of storage -dinette to port (converts to double birth) -pressurized water with complete plumbing for hot and cold in both galley and head (only needs small hot water heater plumbed for true liveaboard convenience) -full head with stand up shower forward to port -large hanging locker with chest of drawers starboard (across from head) -very large locker aft of cockpit -stainless grill aft of cockpit -800 watt generator included (great for charging batteries and running 120 system) -small fiberglass dingy with 2.5 horse mercury motor that NEEDS WORK (dingy in pics is different) Great island liveaboard for one person or a couple!!! You will not find such a unique package in as good of a condition for less. I believe this boat to have been babied due to original rigging being tight and never tuned as well as original mainsail very stiff. These Morgan 28's feel very large for a boat under 30' and really feels more comparable to a boat of the 30-32' range. This is a great boat that is incredibly fuel efficient while motoring at 4-5 knots. I easily burn 1/5 to 1/4 GPH (20+ MPG) which is unheard of for a boat of this size and space. It only drafts 3'6" and it easily beaches to scrape the bottom. Interior has been lightly refinished in the last year and looks great. The boat has made a long trip around the Bahamas within the last year without a problem. This is a very sea-worthy hull that was layered up thick in true 70's fashion before they knew how little fiberglass they could get away with...lol. NO SOFT SPOTS...ANYWHERE!!! Top paint in good condition, it really just needs a little cleanup and a good waxing. Also, boat needs bottom job sooner than later (close to 3 years and at least needs scraped for optimal performance). Probably could use new bilge and exhaust hoses for good measure? Spare impellers and belts for motor included as well as other details I'm sure I've forgotten. I am an honest person and have tried to portray an accurate listing. On Jan-22-13 at 07:17:01 PST, seller added the following information: Evidently someone needed my anchor line more than me!! I went to the boat today and realized it is missing. I will follow up with marina to see if someone "borrowed" it. Please consider it not included at this time. Also,boom vang bracket at the base of the mast is broken. The boat sails fine without, but just wanted to mention it to prospective buyers. I will post a pic to illustrate. Thank you.
