Vehicle Detail
Nice 1974 Superbeetle Price: $3,750 Up for sale is a super fresh 1974 VW Bug (super beetle) Motor is a 1600cc Dualport, Trans is a manual and works great. Super solid car just had a complete mechanical makeover. Steering is tight with new steering dampener. Here are some of the recent work performed -New brakes were installed including Master Cyl, Wheel Cylinders, Brake Shoes and soft lines. -Was told the motor was low miles after a rebuild so we ran a compression test and confirmed the high compression in all cylinders. To clean the motor up and fix some leaky pushrod tubes we pulled the motor and tore it completely down including pulling off the heads for new stainless pushrod tubes and seals. At that time we inspected the heads to make sure they were good to go and reinstalled. While the motor was out we set the end play and installed a new rear main seal although it really didn't need it. All the parts were inspected cleaned and painted for install. All hoses and electrical were replaced. New fuel lines were installed along with a freshly cleaned pict 30 Solex carburetor. The motor is installed with a fresh tune including new distributor, plugs, wires and valve adjustment. -We went through the electrical and all the vitals were chased. We installed a new horn, Turn Signal Switch, Ignition and Battery. -Interior is nice with seats that have been recovered. The rear cargo area has new carpet and it has some cool lady bug front floor mats. The floor pan had some rust holes on the passenger side under the seat so it was cut out and a patch was welded in professionally so there is no rust in the pans or lower body. New Rear and quarter window seals are installed and have front spare to go with. The only needs that I would say it has or that someone would be a disappointment about would be the paint is bubbling behind the rear quarter windows and the paint is dulled under the fuel filler. Paint job is a 15 footer and this is the reason for the price being where it is. Great for a driver.. not a show car. Also the replacement seat covers we installed were the Velcro style and they just don't fit as good as the full redo ones where you put molding foam in. Super nice little bug just waiting for you to drive it. Give us a call to come take a look you won't find a more mechanically solid old VW out there. 509-438-8649 or 509-521-3254 Here is a bunch of Pictures of the car and some of the work done. http://s302.beta.photobucket.com/user/Boo-Koo-Z/library/1974%20Beetle%20Red
