Vehicle Detail
Rare one year only, low production Senior model.Offered for auction is a rare Pacific Senior Series hardtop coupe. Only 1189 of this model were produced and it is estimated that less than 100 still exist. The 1954 Pacific is the only post war Straight Eight hardtop coupe offered in the senior series. It is powered by the last and most powerful version of the famous flathead eight, with 359 cubic inches and a high compression aluminum head fed by a Carter four barrel carburetor. The car has been in indoor dry storage since 1969 awaiting restoration, but I have too many other projects ahead of it and have decided to sell it. Over the years I have collected all the parts required to compete the car. Freshly rebuilt correct 359 engine. Align honed and decked block, Master Rebuild kit from Egge Machine including new pistons, rings, valves, valve springs, complete bearing set, remanufactured correct head, crankshaft turned 10/10, rotating assembly dynamically balanced, custom ground solid lifter camshaft from Schneider Cams, etc, etc. The work was finished in December 2012 by HP Engine Specialties of Victor Ca at a cost of $3900. I have also acquired all the parts to convert the car to 3 speed overdrive (stick shift steering column, clutch linkage, used overdrive trans, driveshaft, new pressure plate & disc etc). The next owner will have the option of either UltraMatic or Overdrive transmission. The car is basically sound, with some rust through above the rear wheel and in the rockers below the doors. Also included in the sale is a 1954 Patrician parts car (very rough body, but a complete driveline with an extra 359 engine and UltraMatic) I am offering the car with a starting bid of the investment I’ve made in rebuilding the engine and acquiring the Overdrive conversion parts…..$5000 with no reserve. I welcome interested parties to inspect the car, it is located in Tulsa, OK. Please contact me at Packard8@live.com to arrange a viewing. Bid with confidence, I have over 12 years of 100% positive eBay feedback selling high value collector cars and parts. If you have no or negative eBay feedback please contact me prior to bidding. Thanks for looking!
