This is a tremendously versatile and powerful work van. A real tank! Base chassis is a 1987 E350 with the legendary Powerstroke Turbo diesel. The conversion was done by General Body Mfg Houston Tx. outfitting the cargo area with enough room for my 6'2" to stand without bumping my head. This van started life as a utility truck and was equipped with all Super Duty options (larger brakes etc) including an internally grounded 90 amp alternator for auxiliary power. This is a $1600 alternator that was rebuilt within the last 20,000 miles of operation. Interior is outfitted with all aluminum lighted cabinets, and would be perfect for any kind of tradesman, long haul driver electrician, carpenter, plumber etc. Also new are the tires, Brakes, A tie rod and an A-arm bushing. The remaining bushing is due for replacement again now. Since it has been done before, a relatively easy job. The transmission was replaced with a brand-new E4OD in 2010 and has less than 10,000 highway miles on it. The odometer stopped working recently with 241,000+ miles showing. (approximately 5000 miles ago). There are a few minor issues, needs a turn signal relay and the roof cap seal replaced. A/C needs to be serviced. And there are some electrical issues effecting the oil light & pressure gauges however the engine is running fine according to a recent diagnosis at a diesel shop. The engine idle control is serviceable as a tachometer but needs a connection made to a parking brake sensor (that I was never able to locate) in order to control the engine speed at idle.. We are no longer using this truck and need to sell it soon.This truck is being listed no reserve and will go to the highest bidder.
