Up for auction is a 1973 Honda XL 250 with 6,149 mi. I have a Clear Title in My Name for this bike. Runs Good but smokes. I bought this bike in 08 from a friend it an good but needed some work, kept it in my garage until last spring. I took it to a friends shop, he replaced the kick starter shaft, installed new clutch, rebuilt carb, new battery,changed oil,rear wheel bearing. etc spent $545.00 Started the bike and it smoked. Don't know what happened to it from sitting.Rode the bike about 35 mi. but still smokes, seems to quit at hwy speeds. Engine sounds good & seems to have good compression judging from the kick start.Tank has some dents, head lite lens is broke, the bike has scratches & nicks, & normal wear for a 40 year old bike. Last started bike about 2 weeks ago, will need battery. Will not ship but will help with loading. Must be picked up in 30 days unless we make other arrangements. $100.00 deposit 48hrs after auction, balance in cash at time of pickup. If paying by check they must clear bank before pickup.
