Vehicle Detail
OK, first of all, let me start by saying I'm not really happy to sell this bike. It has been a great motorcycle the entire time I've owned it. It is a fun bike with lots of power and no limits to where you can take it. It has never given ANY problems, just routine maintenance. But, I just bought a quad... and my girlfriend tells me a man can only have so many toys. I respectfully disagree... but in order to keep peace in the house, I'm reluctantly selling it. The bike is in very good mechanical condition. It starts right up no matter what the temperature. Runs smooth and shifts effortlessly through all the gears. I've been a stickler for changing fluids and keeping it running strong. It is stock all the way around. The only thing I've changed is to have a stainless steel 1 inch down-swept tube welded onto the tailpipe. It lets the engine breathe a bit better and gives it a bit more power. The bike has 6650 actual miles on it. That's it! So it still has plenty of good times left in it. I've used it as my run-around vehicle when I travel to work sites. I often work on very large sites and need something to get around on when I'm working. That's why I just purchased the quad as now I'll be able to carry my tools more easily. I have never raced, jumped or done any kind of extreme riding with this bike. I have never crashed or fallen on the bike. It does have some scratches in the plastics and a crease on the left side of the gas tank (see pictures). All the damage has come from me either loading or transporting the bike from site to site. The left rear turn signal got bent down on one bad loading episode. I glued it and put some tape on it (see picture) and it has held for a year now. You can purchase a replacement for $30 here on eBay if you want. It never really bothered me. There are some paint chips here and there on the frame. All the damage is cosmetic though. If you wanted to ride this bike anywhere tomorrow, it would make it. I know of nothing that you'd need to repair before riding it across the country. The tires are decent. The rear tire has approx. 50% tread left. The front tire has 70% tread left. The battery was recently replaced and works well. The seat was re-covered a few monthes ago. All lights work properly as does the electric start and horn. That's about it... I am the second owner of the bike. The original owner was a rancher that used it to check fences around his cattle ranch. He told me he loved the bike too, but sold it to me when he purchased a Gator to do the same work. Like I said. It is a great bike. The winning bidder will not be disappointed with this one. I'll be sad to see it go. The bike is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. The bike is for local pick up. I am willing to transport it up to 200 miles for a fee of 1 dollar per mile. I am starting the bidding low, so good luck to all and happy bidding!
