Vehicle Detail

1966 F100 Custom Cab short box 2WD. 6 cyl. with a factory automatic. I bought this truck over the summer in Arkansas with the intention of using it as an everyday driver and I did untill winter arrived here and I dont have the heart to ruin it with the New England weather so its going up for sale so someone else can enjoy it and I can put the money into my '66 factory 4x4. Being from the south the truck has very little rust with all I can see is the right front lower cab mount (picture), both cab floor supports where they attach to the rocker panel (picture). The floor has just a few pin holes in it as does the inner cab corner. The outside of the body has no rust except a small spot on the tailgate just above the " Smile, this is Wallace country!" sticker which by the way is pretty cool in itself.... just some dents on the hood and a bent right fender. There is a small quarter size hole in the cowl for what looked like an antenna hole but this truck never had a radio so I don't know. The paint is 100% original and sunbaked and crackled to prove it. This is what drew me to the truck other than the clean body was the patina. Grill is nice, glass is nice but the rubbers are cracked. Drivers side door window regulator is stripped but it can go up and down. The interior is nice and simple in all its Custom Cab glory.Seat is recovered but is thicker than original... probably was covered over its original fabric. Seat frame is original though.Dash is uncut and clean. I put the base model gauge in but have the factory Custom Cab original and will put it back in since I need the base gauge for my other truck. Dash lights work including the dummy lights but not the fuel gauge or the speedometer. Heat and defrost work, signal lights work, wipers work high/low (washers do not work), all lights work including dome. No headliner though. Truck runs and drives fine, have a receipt from the previous owner for rebuilding the entire front end, shocks, tires, brakes including master cyl.and exhaust.Engine runs good with no smoke or unusual noises but does have a lifter tick.(I adjusted the valves but it needs lifters.) Automatic transmission shifts well with no problems. Seeps a little oil but no puddles. Drives down the road like it should and has no problem on the highway and gets good mileage but who really cares anyway. Currently registered and on the road. Will NOT have a title only a bill of sale. Connecticut does not issue titles to vehicle over 25. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself, this is the real deal and these trucks are getting very popular. I set the reserve and wish not to disclose it at this time. Good luck Just a recap to eliminate the stupid questions here. No air conditioning,no power steering,no power brakes, no power windows, power locks. I will not sell it to Iraq. Yes you can drive it home but remember it is a '66 and if you've never driven a vehicle that old don't expect it to drive like a new one. No the aqua and white '66 in the background is not for sale. If you have a real question please feel free to ask and if your serious I'll give you my phone number. P.S. I'm looking for a running 453T Detroit Diesel if you know of any.
