Vehicle Detail
Up for sale today is my 1940 Chevy 2 door sedan project. The body has all new metal (everywhere). The car has been moved around a lot and there are some dings from things banging into it over the years. There is NO ROT ON THIS CAR. As long as I've owned it (since 94) It has been stored inside till recently. It's set up for a chevy small block, 700R4, 4 wheel disk brakes. OUTSIDE STORAGE CAN BE ARRANGED TILL SPRING IF NEEDED BUT PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IN FULL AT TIME OF AUCTIONS END. I WILL CONSIDER INTERESTING TRADES OF EQUAL VALUE. LATE 20'S OR EARLY 30'S COUPES OR SEDANS. LETS SEE WHAT YOU HAVE. IF THERE IS A BID; NO MORE TRADES WILL BE CONSIDERED. *****THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION***** Parts included all garnish moldings S10 column (keyed) steel floor supports new fiberglass front fenders (Superior glass works) nice front & rear bumper brackets used bucket seats New power windows (tracks welded in just needs to be installed). custom tail lights 70 Malibu side markers with custom fabricated chrome buckets for double filament bulbs. (Very bright) setup for 2 piece V butted windshield I also have the back window (curved) a ford probe gas door has been grafted into the driver side rear quarter (to be released from the inside I have the head liner bows Used manual rack New stamped VIN tag with good numbers Custom made hidden hinges for the trunk (about 90% done just needs to be mounted in the trunk) Now for the car itself: It's a 40 Chevy 2 door sedan it is built very solid with NOS rear quarters 90% installed New EMS rear pan (under the deck lid) New EMS inner & outer rockers New EMS cowl corners smooth firewall made from 16ga steel set back 2" brake booster is tunneled into the firewall all new 16ga floors 1987 IROC (4 Wheel disk brakes) rear end with parallel leaf springs It's rolling on Keystone Klassics (14" fronts & 15" rears) fat man cross member with mustang II (About 90% done) good hood hinges that have been nickle plated. The floors are about 95% done. (THE FOLLOWING WAS PROFESSIONALLY DONE) new trans tunnel the doors have hidden hinges custom smooth door handles from a Subaru GLXT coupe grafted in with bear claw latches the front quarter windows in the doors have been removed & the window sills have been straightened so that one piece windows can be installed all power window tracks are installed the bottom 8" of the doors have been replaced/rebuilt (inside & out) transmission cross member (bolted in for easy removal) the hood has been welded together to create a peaked one piece hood There is NO ROT on this car! Its all new metal. I LOST MY STORAGE SO I WAS FORCED TO STORE IT OUTSIDE. SO I GAVE THE KIDS SOME RATTLE CANS AND HAD THEM SPRAY IT BLACK (THEY HAD A BLAST) JUST TO PROTECT THE BARE METAL SO THERE ARE A BUNCH OF RUNS ALL OVER IT BUT AT LEAST IT'S PROTECTED. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS. THIS CAR IS A PROJECT AND IS NOT RUNNING. IT IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS AND BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL SHIPPING. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY AS IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. THE ONE PICTURE ON THE TRAILER IS BEFORE THE BLACK PAINT. IT WAS THE DAY IT CAME HOME FROM GETTING THE PROFESSIONAL WORK DONE.
