Vehicle Detail

This car was converted to a convertible back in the 70's. It has the correct olds suspension. All the trim is on the car including the top boot. The man who originally did the conversion also had a true 1950 Olds convertible. When the 2 cars (the real one and the clone) were parked side by side you could not tell the difference. This car has not been outside since 1985. It starts right up and does drive, but I would recommend replacing the gas tank before driving it very far. The carb was rebuilt while parked, but may need to be done again. " Motor is very strong," I think it runs pretty good myself. Tires were new but have flat spots from sitting. All the lights work and even the radio still turns on. This is a 1950 oldsmobile coupe made into a convertible with a 1950 oldsmobile convertible doner car. In other words, both cars used to make this car were from 1950. The rear clip was sectioned into the car, as was the front cowl and windshield frame. Car had a working top at one point. He took the frame of this car and put it on the original '50 olds convertible he had to finish it first. I do have photos with the frame on. The motor and switch are still in the car. I do have some of the parts to get the top back on, but not all of them. If you are looking for a cheap way to get into a '50 olds convertible this is it. most of the trim is in great shape. There is some pitting on some of it, but it's not all beat up so it still looks nice. It has a 1951 engine with the original 6 volt wiring. The paint has a few chips and minor bubbles here and there,, but is more than acceptable for out door cruises ! "If you want a show car you will have some very minor body work, and then paint" most people who see it are amazed by the condition. Please feel free to send me your number and I will be happy to call and answer any questions. Thanks and good luck. Please only call if you are serious about "buying" the car. call 636-2-two-2-4771
