NEEDS TRANSMISSION REPAIR!!!! This is a nice, clean, used Saturn station-wagon, SW2 model, with automatic transmission, with 140,790 miles on it. Engine runs fine and vehicle has been used for daily travel to and from work. The transmission went out last week - reverse. Car will go forward, but will not backup. Our local mechanic says it will cost about $1,100.00 to have the transmission rebuilt and another $600.00 for his labor to remove & re-install the transmission. (This work maybe done somewhere else for less?) We've been considering a new car, and don't want to invest the money into this one. So, we're putting it on Ebay in hopes someone will want to fix it up or use it for parts. The vehicle is being sold as-is, where is. The buyer will be responsible for pickup of the vehicle at our local mechanics shop in Torrance, CA, as soon as possible; but no longer than 5 days after close of auction. Seller will help with vehicle pickup, towing or shipping - all at buyers expense.
