Let me start by saying that I can 99.9% guarantee that you will never see a 1996 Dodge truck this clean, anywhere. I deal in a lot of these and I have NEVER seen one nicer. I have taken 74 pictures so you can get a good idea of how nice this truck really is, but please keep in mind that the pictures do NOT do the the truck any justice at all. Please take your time and read the entire description, though I know I’m long winded about it, and look through every picture. I bought it from a Dodge dealership that took it in on trade on a new one. They told me the gentleman that owned it only used it for vacation. Him and is wife supposedly used it to pull their 20‘ camper. He put the hitch on the front because it was easier to nose his trailer in at a campsite. This is a NO RESERVE auction which means the highest bid owns the truck, regardless of what I want for it. I do this with most of my auctions, sometimes I get burned...sometimes I don’t. Please check my feedback, I’m a no BS kind of guy...if there’s a problem, you will know about it. If for ANY reason you don’t like the truck when you get here or feel I described it wrong, you are more than welcome to back out of the deal without any issue. I’m a man of my word, and you will NOT be disappointed with this one. Now, on to the truck... This one is a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab with the famous 5.9l Cummins turbo diesel engine. It does absolutely EVERYTHING it’s supposed to. It starts without a hiccup in the morning, doesn’t smoke, gets great mileage, and sounds fantastic. It is all BONE stock. The tamper proof screw is still in the pump, the muffler is still on it, and the silencer ring is still in the turbo. It’s a truly un-molested truck with a TON of life left in it. Miles are low as well, it only had 127k on it when I bought it and I drove it to Chicago and back for the holidays. I ran 80+mph on the highway and it never missed a beat. I averaged just over 21mpg for the entire trip. It’s got a new transmission in it that shifts like a champ as well as 3.55 gears in the rear. The truck has tight steering, no typical dodge slop, no rear end whine, and is VERY quiet inside on the highway. Tires are Michelins in decent shape with quite a bit of life left in them. The exterior of this truck is next to spotless. It’s as clean as I have EVER seen on a 1996. The paint is nice, straight, and looks next to new. It has a few tiny rock chips in the front, but nothing out of the ordinary. The body is as straight as an arrow and could pass for a 20k truck. Please look at the pictures and see how nice it really is. It may have a ding here or there, but nothing that stands out at all, or anything the camera will pick up for that matter. There is NO RUST on the truck at all, which is very odd for this year of truck. The underside looks like it was ziebarted when it was new. I have NOT sprayed any paint under the truck to cover anything up, I hate when people do that. It also has a very nice “Jason” camper shell on the back that looks like it has been there since it was new. It’s very hard to pick at the looks of this truck because there aren’t many nice ones left. All of the glass is in great shape as well, no cracks, and the windshield is still a factory Chrysler piece, no aftermarket. The inside of this truck is as clean as the outside. The seats are in great shape, no rips, tears, or burns of any sort. The headliner is in great shape, and the carpet is near perfect. I have the original floor mats, keys, and owners manual. Every button that you push works fine, and no weird noises, smells, or anything else. It was a non smoker truck as well. The rear window slides open and gives you access to inside the bed as well. The bed is covered with a Bed Rug, and appears to always have been covered with it. There’s hardly a scratch under it. The power windows, door locks, heat, A/C, crusie control, and dash lights all work perfectly as well. The previous owner also added a SW oil pressure gauge to the bottom of the dash as well to keep monitor on that great motor. I don’t think you’re going to find a nicer 12 valve Dodge truck anywhere. I would drive this thing to California tomorrow without blinking an eye. This is not a dressed up pig like some of them on here, this is a real deal truck.
