I've enjoyed 15 fun years with this bug. It was driven consistently and well maintained until approx 2 1/2 years ago. The car is currently driveable but could use some TLC as its seen some neglect for the past 2 yrs. Time to find this bug a new home as career and life changes no longer support time for this hobby. The 1835cc was put in within a year before I bought the car. I've put about 17k miles on it. Engine runs great although is due for a valve check and tune up. NEW battery as of 9/12. During my ownership maintenance performed as needed including routine tune ups/valve adjustments/plugs, tires, wheel bearings, rear axle, brakes, shocks, bumpers. Body has a few small rust spots evident at door hinges and around door handle. Front fenders are fiberglass. Rear deck lid needs repair and rear bumper needs replaced. Unfortunately, I was bumped in the rear in a parking lot a few years ago. No damage except the crunched deck lid and bent bumper. See included pictures. Original paint was yellow and can be seen in engine compartment. Current paint condition fair to good, grey color is faded but shines back up with polishing, Interior shows no visible rust except the battery compartment which is intact but definitely showing rust. Front and rear seats in excellent condition, headliner in fair condition. Glove box has a tear and needs repaired or replaced. Front Headlights NOT currently working, all other lights work. No AC or Heat. Rear hitch included, Tow bar (with installed front mounts) included, ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL and repair books if you would like.
