Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For sale 2005 Mazda Rx-8 Shinka Edition. Only ~1350 were produced. I currently have a loan on it through Campco credit union in Gillette, Wyoming. Payment will need to be made out to them at which point they will release the title. The only reason why I'm selling is to help cover my college tuition. The shinka edition features black cherry paint unique to all other Rx-8s Foam filled crossmembers and upgraded suspension for better stability Real leather interior 9 speaker bose sound system 6 cd disk changer with factory sirus radio Heated leather seats Drivers side power seat Manual 6 speed transmission As for usual rx-8s, the engine is a 1.3L wankel rotary engine producing ~240 hp on a lightweight chassis Engine redlines at 9000 rpm (and redlining a Rotary engine is a good thing) These engines burn oil by design as part of lubrication, so be ready to check your oil on fill-ups These cars have perfect 50-50 weight distribution making them drive like a go-kart guaranteed to put a smile on your face - a true driver's car. They have suicide opening back doors, making it a great grocery getting sports car. I've owned the car for over 3 years, meticulously maintaining it the whole time. I'm a rotor-head at heart and always have taken care of the engine the way it should be. This car has a salvage title, however dont let that deter you. It drives perfectly with no problems from the accident at all, somebody just scraped down passenger side causing cosmetic damage, which was all repaired. I easily got it insured through progressive at a cheap rate. Body has ~73,000 miles on it Engine has ~62,000 miles New battery, new air filter, transmission fluid was just replaced to hi-end Redline MT-90 I upgraded the factory coils to a BHR ignition system. The ignition coils will never need to be replaced, however the car is probably due for some new spark plugs. The catalytic convertor was replaced by a BHR catless midpipe I upgraded the clutch about 20,000 miles ago to an ACT stage 1 clutch. The car has a Seibon carbon fiber hood, and a Seibon carbon fiber spoiler Zenik revento rims Only problems are that it needs a new connector to the passenger side fog light. Some bondo has separated a little from the body, but hasnt been separating anymore for about a year now. And it needs a new fuel pump retainer ring, about a $60 part and about 15 minutes to replace.
