1967 mercury cougar xr-7 Engine- 289 small block, looks original. Seems stock sounds good holds good oil pressure no knocks or rattles or anything wrong. The engine has a msd pro billet distributor and msd 6A box. It also has a brand new a/c compressor,lines, and condenser. Has power steering also. Starts good when its cold. Its a good solid motor Trans- 3 speed auto c4. shifts good no leaks Rear end- 9 inch ford, unsure of gear ratio but seems high like a 3.23 or in that range. No whines or issues here Body- The car has been painted for a few years, the car is a 15 footer, the paint has some orange peel, knicks and paint bubbles. The car is rust free, the only evidence of bondo is in the passenger quarter, the rest of the car appears straight. If you plan on driving the car alot and just want a nice looking cougar then the paint is fine, if you wanted to put it in car shows and that sort of thing then id paint it. The original vinyl top looks good Interior- The interior looks original and looks good, as you can see in the pictures the driver seat is breaking apart, the carpet is ok, the dash parts are all there some parts are real nice others show their age. The pictures tell the story, all the doors open good, the glass rolls up and down good, everything works as it should, the gas gauge even works. The car is a going to make someone a nice car for the money, not many cars like this with working a/c in this price range. When i bought the car i bought it off a dealer who drove the car from cincinnati ohio to somerset ky a 3 hr drive, the car made the trip great. I bought the wheels new a few weeks ago i have the original cougar wheels the need cleaned up but are in decent shape. The tires are good too, i have the car for sale locally also so i reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. I have a clear title ready to go.
