1986 Land Rover 90 fitted with Discovery 200 TDI unit mated to 5 speed transmission, believe is an LT77. Miles showing 115K, but not sure when the engine was fitted, as such, true miles unknown. Truck is currently finished in a satin blue and black. Could do with a repaint to be honest and was on my list were I to keep her. Otherwise, has had a 4” lift kit installed, dislocation cones front and rear, front steering guard and up rated steering damper, diff guard. Currently on Insa turbo tires on steel rims, probably just under half way through their life. Fitted with 9000 lb winch with remote, lightly tested recently and works as expected. New starter, or rather existing rebuilt to a VERY high standard last month, starts like a champ now. Truck has had a NY State inspection as I was going to title it, but plans have changed. I have registered similar and it takes about 2 hours, as do most things at the DMV… This wagon has no real creature comforts, no sound proofing or matting (who needs it when it gets wet anyway) 3 front seats, 2 rear jump seats. Power steering of course and the sway bars have been removed for better 4 wheeling, so suffers with a little torque steer under hard acceleration…but of course makes up for it off road. The above and the obligatory snorkel, so you can happily wade up to your neck if you fancy… Bulkhead, chassis, floor pan have all been repaired over the years, no known perforation at this time, but no doubt there something somewhere rotting…. Bad bits I know of would be: Electric fan needs to be reinstalled or upgraded. Not sure of glow plugs are working, may have one down. 4 roof spot lights not wired in. Heater cable broken – if that matters, stuck on hot. No muffler installed, running straight through pipe, which isn’t too bad at all. Truck was legally imported in September, all import taxes have been paid up and with the exception of registration and local state taxes, good to go. No warranty implied or included. Sold as seen and as such I would encourage any inspections prior to auction end. Vehicle is located in Queens NY. Can be viewed any day with a little notice. On Dec-31-12 at 09:25:51 PST, seller added the following information: Looked over the truck a bit closer and found the following condition updates: Door frame bottoms are rusting, this is pretty common, repair kits are easily found on ebay.uk. Rear tub has a support that has some rust, again these are found on ebay and can be replaced with a drill a river gun. I have the LHD head lamp units to fit. I will try to get these on, or will supply with the car if I dont get time. She smokes a little at start up as most diesels do, probably clears once warm, it is very cold here at the moment...I also noticed some exhaust fumes present, not major, but evident. maybe a gasket seal, maybe something more sinsiter, again, I would change the silencer throughout. Really coud do wih having the sway bars re fitted to make a nicer driver. No title, sold with a bill of sale only. The truck is driveable and needs nothing that I know of that would mean it couldn't be used immediately and driver on a daily basis. Good luck!
