Vehicle Detail
This is a wonderful Triumph TR6 that can be driven, raced or restored. This car is in very good restorable condition with very little rust. It has a few bubbles on the truck lid rear edge, the front grille and some light surface rust on the driver's floor board. There is not any visible frame or rocker rust. There are no rust areas in the trunk or engine bay. The body is very solid with no Bondo or fillers present. The engine runs fantastic. It was rebuilt at some point using a performance cam, weber downdraft carbs, headers and a dual ANSA exhaust system. It has been recently tuned with new plugs, distributor cap and rotor. It does not overheat and pulls very well. The transmission is an overdrive unit in need of attention. The car move great in all forward gears, but reverse is weak. It does not make noise or clunk. The rear differential looks to be in good condition and makes no noise. There is an extra 4 speed transmission included with the sale. All the lighting and electronics seem to work with no issues. There are some extra lenses included although it does not need them. The wheels and tires are Panasport racing wheels with slicks installed. There are 3 original wheels and tires included with 4 caps and 1 trim ring. The suspension is great. This car has 4 tube shocks installed and sits a little lower than a standard TR6. It is relatively stiff and handles better than an original suspension car. The shocks look to be relatively recent and are in good working order. The interior is usable but would need attention at some point. The seats and panels look to be original with no tears or peeling. The dashboard is a shiny veneer that has seen better days. There is a carpet cover on the dash top but the vinyl underneath is not bad. It was used for autocross events at some point and is a lot of fun to drive. It could be a great restoration project as well because it is a solid car with good bones. Please e-mail me any questions you have and I will respond quickly.
