Here for sale is one 1977 Datsun 280 Z. This a an inline 6 cylinder 5 speed manual car. It's original green with no repaints that I'm aware of. The previous owner had some floor pan rust issues taken car of by a reputable body shop in Oglethorpe Georgia. They cut out a section of rust around the passenger seat section and replaced it with new metal. I'm no body man,but I believe that when the bodyshop repaired the floorpan rust they also sprayed the whole underside of the car with a thick black undercoating. Before buying this car we installed a new battery and fresh gas. It started on the second try. However, the previous owner,the same one that added these tacky ground effects also cut the exhaust right around haflway back. Why,I don't know. So it's pretty loud when running. Actually sounds pretty cool. But you will eventually need some type of muffler.Also,if you don't like the add on ground effects,like me,you will be glad to know that they are easily removed and the original chrome bumpers are still in the car. This is a great running project with lots of potetntial.No cracks in the dash,no rips in the interior,no smoking,no knocks,the original Datsun wheels are here with very decent Michelins mounted on them. And it's not an ugly humpback 2+2 model. This is one of the last good looking smaller bodystyle Z cars. And the only issues that need to be dealt with are all cosmetic. This car is pretty solid to be over 35 years old. It could even pass for a gas saver/daily driver. My reserve price is very reasonable. This is currently one of only five older Z cars on ebay. Mine is the cheapest AND IT RUNS. The only issue preventing this car from being a daily driver is the fact that it needs a master cylinder. It runs great right now.
