Vehicle Detail
---Due to a problem with Ebay, I had to relist this item. So here it is again--- Up for bid is my 1967 Pontiac Firebird. (Complete car) This car has been owned by my family since it came off the showroom floor. It pains me to get rid of this car because of its sentimental value, and because it's one of the best muscle cars ever made. Due to some financial trouble however, I have to sell it... my loss, your gain. The car originally had a 326 V-8 with a 4 Speed manual. The transmission remains the same, but the original motor was pulled and replaced with a rebuild pontiac 400 with a 455 kit in it. As far as I know, this was the first step that was taken in the restoration (started probably 20 years ago) and the engine has never been started, but is complete, and includes carburetor. The only thing missing from the engine is the headers, which are obviously easy to get. Everything is included with the car. All chrome, trim, wipers, door handles, mirrors, etc. The car is 100% complete, with the exception of the rear bumper. The good: -All glass is in great condition, no cracks, all windows work properly -Interior is in GREAT original shape, with the exception of some cracks in the bottom of the drivers side seat, one crack in the dash, and one crack in the drivers side door arm rest. Other than that, the seats and upholstery are really good. (see pics) -The Exterior body panels are almost completely rust free. The trunk lid, doors, front fenders, and hood are solid. The rear quarter panels have some rust because of some fiberglass fender flares that were put on years ago, and trapped some mud and moisture and rusted the rear fenders. -Car rolls easily, nothing is locked up The bad: -The floor panels and trunk pan are rusted through pretty bad. (See pics) I purchased repair panels for the cabin floors that go from the firewall to the rear seat. These are brand new, and will be included with the car. I did not purchase the trunk pan, so that will need to be purchased and welded in. Worth mentioning! I rinsed the car off with a hose before I took the pictures, so there are some dark looking areas on some portions of the car, and by the sheetmetal seams. This is not rust, just the wet look of the black primer paint that's on the car right now. Just something to be aware of while looking at the pictures Getting it HOME: This car will need to driven home on a trailer. If you so like, I will INCLUDE the trailer that it's on right now (shown in pictures) for an additional $750, which is a steal. I built this trailer 5 years ago, and it was originally a 40 foot mobile home trailer, so the axles are quite heavy duty. All the decking was brand new, green treated 2x6's, and the rims and tires are like new. It has trailer brakes, but the current wiring harness on the trailer is only a 4 prong, so if you want trailer brakes somewhere down the line you'll have to wire them up. Trailer takes a 2 5/16's ball. That about wraps it up I think... email me with any questions, or if you would like my phone number to talk about the car. I'm sure there are things that I have forgot, but this is a GREAT project car, and as it is a year one Firebird with a manual transmission, it's quite sought after as well. Again, it pains me to get rid of this car, but hopefully it will go to someone who will bring it back to it's full potential. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of history, that's not going to do anything but INCREASE in value. The current blue book for a restored 1967 Firebird is $50,000. This is also a rare opportunity to purchase a car that is already ON a trailer. Just drive here, hook up, and take this baby home. Happy bidding all! --->If you have any questions feel free to email me, or call me at 906-869-0436 On Dec-22-12 at 10:15:27 PST, seller added the following information: ---Due to a problem with Ebay, I had to relist this item.
