TRUE MILEAGE ( ACTUAL MILEAGE!!! ) ONE OF A KIND BUILD - 3.2 V6 - MM5 MERCH 5 - SPEED MANUAL - 3.73 GT4 REAR END (Please read the description so you understand the title situation - This is not a typical salvage title) MAKE SURE TO ALSO VIEW ALL THE PICTURES AT THE END OF THE DESCRIPTION AND THE YOUTUBE VIDEO WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME WITH THE VEHICLE BEING FOR SALE , REAL BUYERS FEEL FREE TO CALL AND MAKE AN OFFER TO END THE AUCTION This Cadillac is a 2003 CTS that comes from the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix, AZ where this CTS was used as an instructional car for road handling courses. There is a strong list of mods and factory build items that makes this Cadillac CTS different than others before and after it.This car was specifically built for the Bondurant School and received a "salvage" branded title the day it came off the assembly line. So the original MSO title from Cadillac was a branded salvage from day one even though it was never wrecked. The reason why Cadillac does this is to void the warranty on the power-train A completely different situation than a typical salvage title by far. Contact me if you would like a better understanding of this. This doesn't affect the titling or anything of the sort. No matter what state you live in, you will have to let the vehicle be inspected by your State Patrol before a title will be issued no matter if it is a salvage or not, out of state titles must be inspected to check VIN # to make sure no parts are stolen. I also have the official build sheet from GM (Cadillac) showing the exact code build up on the car and it is included in the pictures and it is specified that a branded title was issued from day one. Now on to the goodies. From the exterior you can definitely tell that this Cadillac sits a mile apart from others that you have seen or driven. This car would be better described as a "Drivers" car in my opinion since the handling and power is more similar to a BMW than a Cadillac with no offense to anyone but before the CTS, how many sports sedans have really made it out of the US market with a domestic manufacturer? Not many. I have driven a lot of Cadillacs and particularly lots of performance cars and this Cadillac hits curves harder like a true sports sedan than a typical Cadillac CTS by far. Keep in mind that the CTS naturally competes with the smaller group of sports sedans like the BMW 3 series, Mercedes Benz C class and Audi A4; all of those sedans are nice vehicles that cost more money to maintain, overall cost is more and not have the horsepower nor the handling of this Cadillac CTS. This particular CTS will out perform cars well outside its price range. The first upgrade that is noticeable is the front and rear Eibach sway bars that are mated to the fully independent multilink suspension. Add in the all ready great factory setup with performance sway bars equals nothing but fun in the curves. This is the first weird part of the original build and yes original because I am looking at the factory build sheet! The sport tuned package that is listed on the Cadillac build is a FE3 Sport-Tuned Suspension which isn't seen on the CTS till later in years on this particular model (very rare to see a FE3 package on a car like this in 2003). The setup of the upgraded brakes will allow you to really push the limits with the huge calipers and discs both front and rear with the JE2 High Performance Brake Lining Package (factory). Vented front rotors and slotted rear rotors (aftermarket). Next the engine has had an ECU re-flashing from Bondurant; the exact horsepower gain here is not known but the feel of the engine has more low end torque than a standard CTS. Quoting an exact figure here is quite hard and I wish I could be more precise but this car is definitely pushing more than the stock 220HP and 218lbs of torque. There was also an aftermarket radiator but I couldn't indentify the brand of radiator but definitely not stock, appears to be a high quality aluminum radiator. The 5 speed transmission is light and easy, the clutch is great and with the 3.2 V6 engine ECU upgrade you will love the power-train setup. One of the quirks on the original build I found within the power-train was the transmission. The original factory offered CTS models received a Getrag 5 Speed manual transmission not a MM5 Merch 5 Speed manual transmission as this car has, another fun fact of this car not being the normal CTS. This vehicle because of the manual transmission it received the 3.73 GT4 rear end as well! Then once the power is pushed to the wheels, the exhaust is pushed out through one of most beautiful sounds ever, I am huge fan of the Borla exhaust systems and this car sounds awesome. The sound is a performance growl and really nice how the sound comes from the exhaust, higher rpm say during takeoff will growl deeply but once a cruise speed is reached it mellows out for a beautiful sound that will not annoy you as you drive. This is a full exhaust from the headers back to the dual round tips! The wheels that are on the car are a "one off" prototype wheel that was given to Bondurant for testing and really are a good looking setup and durable. They are currently powder-coated a bronze but can be given new life and color for a super affordable price at any shop around the corner. The hood is a factory fiberglass hood that was original to the build of the car and not aftermarket bearing the GM factory sticker information. The car is also equipped with a fire suppression system for the engine bay as well. (aftermarket) The badging is not listed on the car from the factory like a typical build, not any Cadillac badging was displayed and far as we can tell the V emblems could have came from the factory. The condition of the car itself is excellent. The overall paint is very clean and shows a beautiful gloss. The windows are clean and clear; they have dark tint at all four corners and the eyebrow. The leather is excellent condition and really shows no wear and the driver seat is excellent as well (you Cadillac fans know the seat slide that tears up the bottom on these type of leather seats, not here!!!). The carpeting is clean and stain free. The normal wear and tear you typically see on the window controls, radio controls and more is not worn down. All the original functionality of the car with the luxury end is still there (i.e. programmable radio controls, custom messaging in the driver information center and etc). The car has an aftermarket spare tire. The exterior does have a carbon fiber type decal and also running down both sides of the car is a silver decal just a bit off from the original factory color to give that contrast (similar to the Camaro hockey stripe look). The overall impression of this car yells out fun for an affordable price. No it is a not V but it is not pretending to be anything else than exactly what it is, a specialty CTS with low miles, a great story behind and totally affordable daily performance. This could serve as a daily driver, weekend toy, SCCA racer or a first car for a student. The possibilities of this car is truly endless but I can say for sure; it is fast, handles great, looks awesome and the miles are truly incredibly low miles. The mechanical condition of the car is excellent and the power-train runs excellent! The motor, transmission and rear end are flawless. With any performance car care is the utmost importance and you can tell how the power-train performs, no detail of maintenance was missed ever. Our service department has a great support with a shop manager with 30 years of experience in performance cars. You are truly looking at a well cared for Cadillac CTS.
