Here is 1970 Opel GT. This GT is my daily driver, although I don’t drive daily anymore. Sometimes the GT sits for a week or more at a time. I put it through inspection some years ago, so it has regular tags and regular insurance. I have owned the car for almost five years. This GT starts and runs great. The steering, brakes, clutch, and transmission all work fine with no problems. The headlights work fine and rollover as they should. All other lights work including the turn signals and emergency flashers. All gauges work including the clock. The windshield wipers and heater blower motor work fine. The heater controls are broken and do not move. It is currently set to blow most of the heated air on the windshield and a smaller amount towards the floor. It has an aftermarket radio that works well. This GT was originally painted blue, but a previous owner painted it red. It has rust and body filler, as can be seen in the pictures, and it was that way when I bought it. The old red paint is pretty much dead. The interior has a funky headliner which I am sure is not original. It has old carpet, and overall, could use a good freshening up of the interior, including carpet, headliner, panels and other items. It has all the seat belts. The engine runs great, but it leaks oil. It has leaked oil the whole time I have owned it, and apparently this is a common problem with these cars. It has a Weber two barrel carburetor and a manual choke. The battery has been relocated to the storage area behind the driver, see picture. It has a sealed battery, so there are no issues with acid vapors or spills. It has an old school CD ignition which can be seen in the pictures. It has slotted alloy wheels with Cooper Cobra tires. The tires have a lot of tread. The odometer currently shows 68,724, but the actual mileage is unknown, as I know the speedometer has been changed out at least once. This is a great little car that is fun to drive. It gets great gas mileage, and I always get a lot of compliments about the car. As mentioned, it is my driver, so it is quite roadworthy. If you are looking for a great little project car that you can drive and have fun with as you make improvements, then this would be a good one. I have a few spare parts that will go with the car. Owners manual and service manuals included. Please look a the pictures carefully and ask any questions you might have. This GT has a clear Maryland title in my name.
