This convertible runs and drives, has near new tires that I installed, mileage showing just over 74K on the meter (I believe to be 174,248), good glass, original spare, original convertible top boot plastic cover, aftermarket Pioneer cassette stereo, two keys, original never opened dealer touch-up paint, and original owner paperwork that you never find in these type "needle in a haystack" finds. I locate these finds every year from all corners of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska. This one being from northeast Kansas City, MO. I used this as a quick commuter car this summer while my landscape truck was being prepared for service. Once my Tundra as delivered, I stored the car back in my garage and never titled in my name before losing the title once in hand...a true barn find treasure showing only 3 previous owners! You will need to go through the car top to bottom, replace top, clean up interior, etc. You are buying a running Metro convertible with everything mentioned, not a new car or restored show Metro collector car by any stretch of the imagination, it is as you see it "AS IS/WHERE IS". No guarantees or warranties expressed or implied. If you are one who loves a good find, this is right up your alley. How many barn finds come with original window sticker and paperwork from 1992? I recommend car transport, not driving vehicle for long distance because it is a 20-year-old car, folks. Have it looked over thoroughly by a trained mechanic before any long distance driving. I drive it around KC all the time, but for safety sake, take good precautions when buying a "barn find". Buy the car, restore it, use the parts, that's your business...I just find 'em and sell 'em. Added Note from the owner: This is a special sale and very specific in nature. I'm looking for guys who love Metros, will appreciate the scarce to find paperwork that accompanies the sale, and can get title for the car. If this isn't you, please do not bid. If you can't or won't do the due deligence to get title, move on to another sale. It runs fine, but do not for one minute expect to drive home from KC to say, Arkansas or California in the car. This is a 20-year-old car, use common sense. I sell everything from vintage Mustangs to vintage Hondas and always recommend car transport for safety and keeping miles down. If you want a "ready to go" daily driving Metro convertible that needs nothing, you will spend $3000-$5000 for such. This is for a "Metro guy" type who loves the little car and it's niche, and is impressed by original window sticker, Geo key blank, owner's manuals, along with the car itself. There's a reason why there is not another Metro convertible on ebay right now and during the season. Among the tens of thousands of cars offered on ebay in one day...only one Metro convertible? They are rare in the market of ultra-economy convertibles, you just don't have that many Metro convertibles to meet the demand. It says volumes that only one is on all of ebay motors right now. Scarce to find. And concerning the rare extras with this sale, I would feel very bad if somebody bought this car and just discarded the paperwork included. Collectors appreciate such. I'm looking for the "collector type". Guys who want an immediate convertible for their college daughters need not buy this. This isn't for you. You need to spend much more for that Metro. This is a "barn find" specialty car for those with the means and talent to make it happen. Payment Note: No PayPal on this sale, only cash in person or if you must send cashier's check...this must clear my bank before you take possession of vehicle, NO EXCEPTIONS. Do not expect to show up with a check, a money order, a cashier's check in hand and leave with car, that's not happening.
