1987 Honda CH150 Elite I have for sale my 1987 Honda CH150 Elite scooter. This is a one-of-a-kind scooter that Honda only manufactured in 1987. It is one of the most powerful light weight scooters ever built.This machine is in very good condition for a scooter of any age. Even though it is 25 years old, you’d never guess it by looking at it. It appears nearly new. It has a few “battle scars” but is mostly in excellent cosmetic condition. It has only 6,750 miles on it. Mechanically, it has a new rear tire(Kenda K329), new battery, new air filter and a new drive belt. The front tire is a Kenda 324with about 2,000 miles on it. All the filters and sponges in the air box and the belt drive cover are new. I have changed the oil religiously every 1,000 miles or less. I use Mobil1 10-40 full synthetic in this machine since I bought it. The rear drive also has Mobil1 10-40. Scooter has been very well maintained. It starts, idles and runs and flawlessly. Brakes are very strong. The fueltank is clean, no rust. Body is in very good condition with 3 or 4 flaws. The front cover has some minor scratches only visible up close. There is a small gougein the lower right side that's visible in the pictures. It was caused by a tie down buckle that rubbed against it while trailering, my fault. This scooter has never been layed down at any speed. Never dropped or knocked over.. Side panels are close to perfect as is the handlebarcowling and windshield. The seat has no rips, tears or holes. Footrest pads are perfect. The only thing I haven't done is adjust the valves(a very simple task) and cleaned the carburetor. It runs so good, I didn't want to mess with it. I am the second owner. I bought the scooter on an eBay auction back in 2009. It belonged to a Shriner who mostly rode it in parades with other Shriners. It had less than 1,000 miles. I have used the scooter for trips to the store, commuting to work, camping (it’s great to have when RVing), and just having fun. My commute to downtown Indianapolis is 17 miles, one way. I use US31 most days and have no problems keeping up with the flow of traffic. In fact, traffic usually holds me up. I weigh 225 and this CH150 will go 50 easily. My kid rides it and goes over 65MPH, but she only weighs 130. I rode it almost daily this year and always got 65-70MPG, and that’s not babying the throttle. I’ve heard reports of these machines exceeding 90MPG. It’s really great spending $12 per week on fuel. The only reason I am offering this to the public is because I found another one identical and I cannot keep them both. You will NOTbe disappointed with this machine. My “new” 87’ is being refurbished, it has all the body work removed so you can see all the mechanicals of the scooter for sale. You will not find another one cleaner, better maintained, fewer miles or in better condition than this one. It is one fun scooter. Parts for this scooter are still available at any Honda dealer. Granted, some parts have been discontinuedbut I’ve been able to locate most anything online. Being how this machine is 25 years old I cannot guarantee anything except what I have stated above. I have a 100% eBay rating andhave worked with motorcycles/scooters for 44 years. I can say I've seen 87' CH150s' with over 20,000 miles still running strong. Scooter has a clear Indiana title in my name and 2 original Honda keys. The keys fit the ignition, the glovebox lock and the seat lock.
