I am helping my brother-in-law sell this car. It belonged to his father. The car is a 1942 Dodge Deluxe. This is a rare car, due to the timing of World War II. Shortly after this car was built, all the car manufacturers in America stopped automobile production and began production of war related items. This car sat in a warehouse until my brother-in-law's father was able to purchase it, and he bought it brand new, a few years off the factory line. It has 38,716 original miles. The car is completely original, from top to bottom. Suicide doors, Mohair interior (that's what i'm told by antique car enthusiasts). The car is light brown, and is in unbelievable condition for something of this age. It runs. It hasn't been started recently, but within the past couple of years the car has been started and run on about a 100 mile trip to dinner, which was a real head-turner. The car is in Plainview, Texas, in a garage. The interior is remarkable, considering the age. Almost like brand new. I don't think the spare has ever been run. If it has, it wasn't for long. Flathead 6 cylinder engine. I personally took these pictures. The car is amazing. It's not perfect. It has a scratch here and there, and the left front headlight is broken as a result of moving the car from storage to the house. I personally am a huge car enthusiast, and I will say this Dodge is something that will take your breath away. I also have quite a few more pictures if you'd like to see them. Just let me know.
