Vehicle Detail

I am selling this 1978 Fiat 124 Spider, which I recently purchased from the previous owner who did the restoration. Good: The car is operational, drivable, I drive it on nice weather days. It comes with a car cover, tonneau cover when the top is down, and a fiat car bra. I am in the process of replacing the driver's side window regulator, and brake fluid reservoir. Also, I have changed all the fluids including coolant, engine oil, gear oil, and brake fluid. The car has the Fiat 1.8l Dual Overhead Cam engine, 1756 cc engine, with a 5 speed manual transmission. I have the title. Bad: The previous owner who performed the restoration did shotty prep work, as seen in the pictures, there are a few rusted spots on the body. The driver's side window does not currently roll up or down, therefore I keep it covered, however I just ordered the replacement regulator and will make the repair before sale. Mechanically, the only issue with the engine is that I suspect a faulty water temperature probe, which will sometimes indicate the engine temperature in the red, even after the first start of the day. The cooling system (water pump, thermostat, radiator, cooling fan, etc. are operational, the engine is not overheating). The probe is on top of the engine which makes for an easy fix. Also on the driver's side door, there appears to have been a place where the car was side swiped. However it is repairable by anyone with body work experience. The top also has a few places, like near the rear passenger window for example, where it quite obviously does not seal (again, I keep it covered). The interior also needs restoration, I would say it is the worst part on the car. As seen in the interior pictures, the clock is missing from the dash, it was inoperative so I removed it. I will provide the inoperative clock in the sale. Also, there is space in the dash for a radio, I purchased the car without it. Lastly, there is considerable play in the steering, which after some research I found there is an adjustment nut on the top of the steering gearbox which can be loosened or tightened to adjust the steering. I just have not had the motivation to fix this. As I said, the car runs, and drives. I recommend it to anyone looking for a labor of love, or weekend project. I originally purchased the car to play with, enjoy for a short time, and sell. So any body work, electrical work, or mechanical work besides the window regulators, brake fluid reservoir, and fluids are in the same condition they were when I purchased it.
