1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Greenwood Style Package This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe (C3). 350 V8 engine, 4 speed manual transmission. Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning, Chrome Side Exhaust. This Corvette is equiped with a 70's era Greenwood style body package; driver quality paint looks original and still lots of luster, some checking but is still a head turner (see photos, you decide). Comes with "period correct" Cragar mag chrome wheels, and very nice chrome exhaust. Also equipped with factory A/C (currently not hooked up). Engine details: 350 V8 base engine, RPO ZQ3, 8.5:1 compression ratio, hydraulic valve lifters, 200 brake horsepower @ 4400 rpm, peak torque 300 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm, fuel supply: Rochester Quadra-Jet Four-barrel Model 4MV. Additional facts: 1972 was the last year for chrome bumpers. It was also the year that horsepower specifications were changed from gross horsepower to net horsepower. Prior to this year, horsepower was measured on a blueprinted engine without any accessories such as alternator, A/C, Power Brakes, and the like. But for 1972 the engines were rated with all the accessories and the exhaust system which caused the horsepower of the same engine to be rated substantially lower. In short, the 200hp will turn out to yield much higher without the accessories.
