Very seldom do we ever see such a pristine example as this one, let alone a fully loaded and factory turbocharged 22rte (the only '80s 4Runner with an automatic-only option with cruise control) and we're very proud to offer it up for sale to the highest bidder at you read it, NO RESERVE, it WILL SELL. This is a one in a lifetime find of a truly preserved time capsule and about as close as you can get to a brand new '80s 4Runner. This 4Runner is out of a collection and has been mostly stored and rarely driven with only a few thousand miles put on it in the last decade, a genuine CA car with ZERO rust. The condition of this 4Runner Turbo is next to none, featuring the functioning stock radio, keyless remote entry, all power windows and the fully loaded SR5 options. This 4Runner came with every available option at the time in 1986 and is unmodified. You won't find another example of this 4runner anywhere. It stock has 135hp, a mere 15hp shy of the '88 and '89 3.0L 3VZE 4Runner with far greater mileage and reliability.It is estimated there were only 2000 of these turbo 4runners, significantly rarer than the truck model or any other '80s "1st gen" 4runner. "A turbocharged version of the 22R-E engine (the 22R-TE) was also introduced in 1986, although this engine is significantly rarer than the base 22R-E. It appears that all turbocharged 4Runner models sold in the US were equipped with an automatic transmission, though a five-speed manual could still be ordered in the turbocharged pickups. Most Turbo 4Runners were equipped with the SR5 package, and all turbo trucks had as standard a heavier rear differential. Low-option models had a small light in the gauge cluster to indicate turbo boost, while more plush vehicles were equipped with an all-digital gauge cluster that included a boost gauge."OptionsI cannot stress the immaculate condition enough; I have never seen a 4runner this nice and you will not find a nicer example of this rare turbo 4runner. The body doesn't have ANY scratches, chips, road dings, dents, etc and the paint is in FANTASTIC shape with no fading/spots or any signs of wear at all.
