I had the transmission and tranfer case replaced about a year ago as you can see in my previous post I copy and pasted below. The transmission recently started to slip and now its not running right, first and second are there but somthings wrong. The guy that fixed it is dead so I can't get him to warranty the work. I haven't even had it looked at its just sitting in my driveway getting ready to be traded in. I am assuming its the transmission and can get it rebuilt for $800 but after talking to the transmission guy he said it could just be the torque converter or something much smaller, either way I don't have time to mess with it. I have to take it to the dealership by tomorrow afternoon of have it sold elsewhere to satisfy my loan. If you want to look at it, or whatever thats fine but only have tonight and tomorrow morning. Other than this the car is great! Its been rock solid for me for 4 years. I originally was gonna get it fixed then sell it but don't have the time now. So my timeframe loss is your gain. This truck is worth double or more of what the dealership wants to give me and even if it needs a total rebuild transmission the best price I've found is only $800. I am selling my tan 2002 Chevy Suburban LT 4X4 Heated leather seats, sunroof, pushbutton 4wd, 3rd row removable seating, 4 bucket seats, both front seats power, auto dimming rearview mirror, defrosting outside mirrors, roof rack, tow hitch.... etc you can see all the options if you look or ask about them. Car has been kept up great, it runs great and still looks great. The car has high miles but has been maintained excellently. 240k miles. KBB has it at $5776 in fair condition $6626 in good, $6801 in very good, to $7151 in excellent. Dealership made a decent offer but would rather sell it to someone who's not going to detail it and turn around and mark it up to $9,000 and resell it. It's a great, dependable truck has been a great work truck and daddy mobile. This truck is second owner, I bought it from my dads friends company 4 years ago where it was used as a company car for traveling sales executive. I worked in louisville every weekend commuted from cincy so a ton of highway miles. Selling it cuz my company gave me a company lease as a bonus.
