1986 Westphalia Camper. Water cooled 2 liter that is not running. It has no spark and I suspect it is a faulty crank sensor. This is a walkthrough model and has an automatic transmission. There is rust on the flank body panels and no where else that I can find...and I have been all over it. The interior is very nice, with all seating in very nice condition. There is the factory installed auxillary heater in addition to the usual camper options. Here is the history: I am a member of local car club and the former club President walked up to me and and handed me a signed title to this van out of the blue. The van had been parked for about a year and a half due to a rumble in the transaxle. The previous owner drove it until the day he parked it due to this noise. I've tried to get it running, but I can't get spark to the plugs. The engine should run, once this new malidy is solved. I believe the previous owner bought it either new, or almost new, and has had it all these years. The van owed him nothing, he was done with it, and he was loosing his storage. I was the logical choice of new ownership since I own and have owned many older Volkswagens. Apparently this one is too modern for my knowledge, since i have been unsuccessful in finding the issue. If it sells, great, if not, I'll have a local VW mechanic get it running and I'll list it again. Located West of K.C. M.O. in the Lawrence/Baldwin area. Thanks.
