1983 Porsche 911 SC Targa currently with 49,055 miles. VIN# WP0ZZZ91ZDS140101. Driven on weekends. The miles will be slightly higher at auction end. One owner till early 2012, the original owner gave this car as a gift to his caretaker. I purchased it from him, intending to do some light restoration. Due to my relocation I lost my garage space, so I have to give up my dream car. I'd like to describe all the goods and the flaws here as much as I can. I might miss a couple of things here and there. The good is, very low 49k miles, engine runs and pulls excellent, 5 speed transmission goes in every gear smoothly, a/c works, all the gauges are in working condition [ second hand on clock does not work, but clock does], passed NJ inspection couple of months ago, tires are in excellent condition, interior is in good condition, seats have very minor wear, passenger side rear seat back doesn't stay up [leather strap is broken], car drives and stops great with no hesitation, no vibration nor pulling, frame is in great condition, there is a kill switch to protect the battery, engine idles at 1000 rpm when it is warm. The flaws are, paint looks good 20 feet away, but shows some age, hood paint is peeling, and around the windshield and windows has slight surface rust, heat doesn't work, but a/c does, rear windshield wiper doesn't work, left front bumper signal is not working, weather strips are getting old, when it rains, water leaks from window area, targa top mechanism works good, but headliner and the vinyl top shows some age. In the morning, it might need a second or third attempt to start the car, it might need some adjustments, but after that, it starts with no problem. There is a very minor oil leak from passenger rear side between bumper and tire, I tried to find where it's coming from, and it looks like it is one of the hoses, but I am no mechanic, that is just my opinion. I might have forgotten some goods and flaws, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask me, I am listing with NO RESERVE and the highest bidder will win the auction, so bid accordingly please. This car can be an everyday car, with the condition it is in now, I can take this car on a road trip, it is reliable and very fun to drive. With little money and effort you can make this car in show room condition. Local interested buyer came to see the car and said he was expecting the paint in better condition. Who ever is going to buy this vehicle expect to repaint the car to look perfect, it is almost 30 years of age and paint may not be the original paint on the car. There might be some light body work on passenger side door shape of a bulls eye. I am trying to be honest as possible, pre bid inspections are welcome. I do not want to disappoint anyone.
