Greetings! I am listing this 1992 Mercedes 300ce Sportline coupe. Car has 210K on it. I have owned it a couple of years, was driving it daily until a couple of months ago when it started acting very sluggish when I started off from a red light...got progressively worse until I just quit driving it. I do not know what the problem is, and I do not have the interest in trying to diagnose the problem at this point, so I am selling it as non running. However, I truly believe the problem could be fixed by someone who is familiar with these cars (which I am not!). This car has a big straight six engine. When I was driving it, it had great power and was a nice car to cruise around in. I kinda felt like Tony Soprano when I drove it! The battery went dead from sitting for a couple of months, so I have replaced it with a used battery. The motor turns over easily just will not start. This has the rare sportline suspension package from Mercedes. It is black on black (leather), the ABS light is on, and the dashboard lights did not function. The radio needs a code (happened when I replaced the battery). The body has some scratches but is nice overall. There is a dent in the drivers rear qtr panel, some rust on the driver's front fender by the turn signal (see photo). No other rust elsewhere on the car. The molding on the front bumper has been scuffed. The paint is generally good, but the clear coat has dulled on the trunk. It presents well even with these issues. There is also a scratch on the trunk lid. I have been told that this year is one of the last years Mercedes hand built these cars...they started taking shortcuts in later years. Asking $950 / offers.
