I have a 1968 Ford Mustang for sale. It is a factory J code 302 4V. All numbers matching. Original engine and c4 automatic transmission. I've owned this car since 1996. I was originally going to 100% restore the car for concours but just lost interest. The engine is 100% rebuilt bottom and top end. Has an RV cam which is the next up from stock. And has been bored .012 over. Brand new pistons. Reworked rods. Heat treated valve seats to run good on todays unleaded gas. Polished crank. Even sent the harmonic balencer to Clifford performance in San Diego to be rebuilt and re vulcanized with chrome polished shaft to smoothly slide into the timing chain cover for better oil sealing purposes. The engine has zero miles on it and fires right up every time. No leaks anywhere at all. While the engine was out I had the engine compartment media blasted and epoxy prime coated. Looks totally factory. All new brake lines and wire harnesses in the engine compartment. Rebuilt the entire front end suspension ect. From the windshild to the front of the car is brand new. But from the windshield back needs someone to continue and finish the restoration. I have all reciepts to prove it. Flaws are that the car at one point was hit on the passengers side and the wheel well was slightly crushed. Whoever did the body work did an excellent job. Can't even tell from the outside. If I were going to keep the car I would just have replaced it with a new one. From what I know the car was built at the San Jose Ford plant in California which is long gone. And was sold at a dealership in Los Angeles so the car is completely rust free. Great restoration project for somebody who can fall in love with it and finish it. When my garage door is open people always come up and ask me about the Mustang rather than the rare 1990 ZR-1 Corvette parked next to it because everybody knows what the mustang is world wide.
