Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. I purchased it about 2 years ago and it has been a daily driver until about 15 months ago. I recently joined the Marine Corps and have been in training for the past year. So, it has just been sitting in my parent’s driveway. Overall, it is in really good condition. It has a bunch of brand new parts and I have always changed oil and oil filters regularly. Drive Train: The previous owner replaced the original 5.0 engine with a brand new 5.7 crate engine that has approximately 380 HP. A full build sheet is included along with 5 separate dyno 2000 reports on various exhaust system setups. I will list part of it below. It has the original 700-R4 transmission. However, in January 2011, 3rd and 4th gear stopped working. So I had the transmission professionally rebuilt. A transgo shift kit along with a corvette servo was installed during the rebuild. It shifts really firm now and will even chirp into 2nd if you try! I also had an empire transmission cooler installed because of all the upgrades to the tranny. The rear end is from a 2000 Firebird. It has 2.73 gears with posi traction and 12 in disc brakes. I am not sure how many miles has been put on the engine since it was put in the car but, if I had to guess, I would say it has around 10,000 miles. The transmission has just over 1,000. The odometer was not working right when I bought the car because of a gear that had a tooth broke off. I replaced it a few months before I left for bootcamp and it works fine now. THE MILAGE IS NOT EXACT! Suspension: The suspension is stock other than new shocks that I put in when I did the rear end swap. I also bought brand new bushings for the rear swaybar. Interior: The interior is in Really Good Condition. It has newer racing seats (I am not sure what brand) a grant steering wheel. It also has brand new blue LED dash and gauge lights. They look really good especially at night! There is one hole under the floor mat in the carpet on the driver’s side and the plastic above the driver’s door pops off every now and then. Other than that, the interior is pretty much flawless. There are two speakers in the rear and two in the front with all the wires running to the console. There is no radio or head unit in the car. Exterior: The Body is in GREAT Condition! No dents or body filler anywhere. The paint however could use a little TLC. Since I left, the paint has become sort of dull while just sitting outside. It needs a good wash and waxing. Exhaust: My cousin just had a brand new flowmaster exhaust installed for me about 4 months ago. It looks and sounds good with no leaks or weird rattling. Below is a list of all the new parts installed on the vehicle. The bad: The only issue that may need to be addressed with this vehicle is an oil leak. It is a VERY small drip and I am not sure where it is coming from. It is only leaks about the size of a quarter and then stops until you drive it again. At first I thought the valve cover gaskets were bad so I replaced them but that did not fix the problem. I noticed the leak a few weeks after I bought the car but it was so small I never worried about it. Back when it was a daily driver I just monitored the oil level and added some whenever it was needed. It went thru about 1 quart every 2 months... if that. Since it has just been sitting, it has not been leaking. Over all, this car is in really GREAT condition! It hasn’t been driven in almost 10 months but it started right up (after I replaced the battery) on the first try and ran great! It has an electric fan controlled by a toggle switch in the cabin. It used to be connected to the ignition switch but i didnt like it running all the time so i put in the switch. It just got virginia inspected last summer. I am pretty certain I have listed everything that pertains to the car but if you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me and I will do my best to address them! The tachometer, radio and subwoofers seen in the picture are not included in this auction. This car needs to go and there is no reserve but if you dont have the money or dont plan on paying for it then DONT BID!!!
