Well,I bought this Westfalia camper for my folks who in years past have immensely enjoyed camping.Not so much anymore apparently.I'm not personally a big camper either therefore have decided to sell it although I did use it on a short week and a half long trip around Vancouver Island in which it performed beautifully.The camper is located in Vancouver,B.C.about 20 mins. from the U.S. border to Wash.state.If you are a U.S. bidder I can put you in contact with an excellent shipper who is reasonable and knowledgeable importing Canadian vehicles to the U.S.It is actually a very easy and painless process believe it or not.Also the majority of all Canadian vehicles are exempt from importation taxes and duty but verify this for yourself on the U.S. Customs website and also with your states DMV.The van comes with multiple folders of records and all receipts dating back to 1987.The body and paint on it is beautiful and it has no dings or scratches.It runs and drives beautiful and is extremely reliable.The engine has been completely rebuilt with records and now has just over 50,000 km's on it and runs like a Swiss watch.The interior is in excellent shape having no burns or rips anywhere.All the upholstery was removed recently and professionally shampooed.The interior has never had any odor or mildew smell which makes it a pleasure to camp in.All the appliances are functioning and all the electrical works perfectly well.It has updated Hella H4 halogen lights which work far better than standard sealed beams.I will leave the brand new bike rack on as well.Some recent brand new parts include Bosch fuel pump and Bosch starter ($600.00).Brand new Continental load rated tires.($600.00).It also has a small generator mounted under the rear seat bed for emergencies.If you are looking for a reliable turn key camper for vacations,or a back-up home on wheels for a natural disaster this Westfalia is perfect.E-mail with any questions..A $1000.00 deposit will be due at auctions end and balance by Cashiers check/Bank draft or wire transfer. Thanks for looking.On Nov-18-12 at 11:55:45 PST, seller added the following information: I've had a number of inquiries on the engine so just want to clarify.The engine was rebuilt by George and Bernies in Vancouver in '04 at a cost of $4472.50.The mileage was 268,288 km and the van now has 323,000 km.Mileage on the engine therefore is 54,712km.I have a PDF spreadsheet on owner history and all work performed as well as all receipts back to 1987 totalling just under $26,000.
