Beautiful, completely stock, 1957 Chevy Model 3100 Stepside pickup. This older restoration from Arizona is super clean and features a period correct rebuilt 235 six cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission with overdrive. Recent carb kit and tune up, this is an excellent, strong running, Y code engine, completely rebuilt in 1999. No engine noises, rattles, knocks, or smoke. does not use oil. Engine bay is clean and detailed. New sealed Delco Script battery. The manual three speed Borg Warner transmission and overdrive work flawlessly, shifting smoothly though the gears. Excellent working clutch, no noise or chatter whatsoever. Truck has a stock rear axle with 4:11 gears. BF Goodrich Silvertown 6.70x15 Polyester tires on correct steel wheels, caps, and beauty rings. Excellent driving truck handles the road well. Exterior paint shows very well and shines like new. Due to its' age there are a number of small knicks and scratches one would expect from an older finish. No known body work or fillers. Window glass is in near perfect condition. The windshield and rear glass have been replaced at some time, side doors glass is in excellent original condition. All glass is factory green tint. The chrome bumpers, grill, hood rockets, badges, and stainless trims on this truck shine bright, in like new condition. The oak wood bed is as solid as they come, no rot or soft spots. The bed surface sealer is starting to spall though, and will require refinishing in the future. Also, the inside of the bed paint has a number of knicks and scratches from the years of normal use. A white tonneau bed cover is included with the truck. The undercarriage has recently been cleaned and touched up. Body panels, doors, floors, and frame, are all solid and rust free.The interior of this classic is in beautiful condition. A new rubber floor mat covers the solid, rust free, floor pans. The upholstery, dash, door panels, headliner, gauges, are all in excellent condition. An aftermarket AM FM cassett player made to fit the original dash cutout, has been installed. Everything works as it should!This awesome truck is an excellent driver quality vehicle which continually draws a great deal of attention at local cruises and shows. Interest in these trucks have grown substantially over the last few years. NADA pricing guides have seen this vehicle increase in value over 20% last year alone. If you are interested in purchasing a great classic truck at a good value, there may not be a better time to buy. This vehicle has been priced well below the current NADA average book value. I have described everything to the best of my ability but would still encourage personal inspections from all prospective buyers.
