For Sale is an all steel original 1928 Model A 5 window Hi-boy coupe HotRod on it's original frame. The front half of the original frame has been boxed and the back half is new 2X3 tubing, C-notched with a 4 link, air bagged 4.10 open 9 inch Ford rear end. The front is a '40 Ford dropped and drilled I beam with '40 juice brakes all the way around. Wire wheels are 17" powder coated stock width in the front and widened to 8" in the rear. Vega box with cross steering. 1953 Mercury Flathead, pro built by Jerry Livingston, bored to 286 c.i., Offy ported and relieved aluminum heads and 3 deuce manifold, Speedway Super 97 Carbs, Isky 3/4 cam, PowerGen Alternator, Hunt magneto look distributor, ceramic coated Lakester headers. Transmission is T5 5speed with hydraulic clutch. Custom aluminum radiator. Body chopped 3 1/2", roof filled, grill shell is '32 ford truck, filled and sectioned 2 1/2", the firewall recessed 3" to accomodate the engine while leaving the body and grill in the stock location. Gas filler cut out and relocated to upper rear driverside fender, ABS 16 gal. gas tank behind seat, front fenders are '36 ford spare tire ring cut down to cycle style, rear fenders are bobbed on both ends. Paint is black base/clear with flattener added to the clear. Interior seat, kick panels, door panels and headliner all Oxblood Red vinyl tuck and roll. Seat set back 4", original dash cluster has s/w gauges as well as speedo and tach above ididit steering column. This sale includes a very nice set of front and rear fenders, running boards, front visor and hood.(If you want to change up the look!!) Car will cruise effortlessly all day long at 80 mph, 2300 rpm, 170 degrees, and still get 12 mpg. This is an old school HotRod with all the reliability of a modern car.
