Vehicle Detail
Triple Black 2001 Porsche Boxster S. Mileage is high but is almost all freeway miles as my commute was 90 miles round trip on Southern California Freeways. Garaged at both sides of the commute so paint and interior are in excellent condition. There is a scrape on left rear fender as shown in photos, and of course there are rock chips on the nose. Car is completely stock with the exception of the addition of the rear speaker and ashtray delete option. Dealer serviced during my term of ownership and I am the third owner of this car. Mobil 1 oil and OEM filters at scheduled intervals by the dealer. New clutch, L&N Engineering IMS bearing and Seal, Valve cover seals, rear koni struts, and rear trailing arms replaced 215,000 miles in 2011. New brakes all the way around and new front rotors in February 2012. Tires are 70% all the way around with Bridgestone Potenze RE760Sport (255/40-17) rear and Bridgestone G-Force Sport (225/45-17) front. All electronics and controls operate normally. Ipod/Iphone adapter and holder have been installed to factory radio. I am selling this car because the engine has developed a noise during drive from California that starts about 3K RPM and remains to 6K and since I have relocated to West Texas, the closest competent repair center is more than 350 miles away in Dallas. The noise is suspected to be cam chains Car runs and drives normally and the motor is just as strong as before along with normal fuel mileage which is about 23MPG on the highway. Title is a clear California with registration expiration in May 2013. I am a long time (10yrs) Porsche club member, this car is my 13th Porsche and like all the others was well driven and maintained. It needs to have service by a competent repair shop and this car will go a lot longer, if that was available to me I would not sell this car. '
