This a very cool vehicle, we have really enjoyed cruising it around. I don't really know a lot about the Thing but like I said it is a lot of fun to drive around. Here is what I do know about the Thing, We got it about two years ago and have down pretty much nothing to it, just basic maintenance. Everything works on the car except for the heat, it has been blocked off, it is pretty easy to fix from what I've been told. The rear seat is ripped at the top (see pic) and the driver side front fender has some scratches (see pic) it halso has some dings and scratches around the vehicle. We decided not to mess with fixing any of that stuff, we felt it added to the charm of the vehicle. My father said the engine had been replaced, replaced or rebuilt it looks pretty cool, it has a lot of chrome. The top is in excellent conditoin. There is a box of spare parts gaskets, brake parts, fuel filter ect. (see pic) there are also a few covers and boots. We live by the beach on Lake Michigan and everyone that sees the Thing loves it and I know you will too. Never needed the heat when we drove it. ThanksOn Nov-12-12 at 13:19:35 PST, seller added the following information: Q&A Title, mileage & issues Is the tile clear and clean not rebuilt or salvage also what was the last known mileage ( does the odometer function) and how does the vehicle drive (ie) straight steering , stops, transmission, smokes, hard starting, wiring, lights horn taillights brake and signals work, doors open and close properly including locking, is the glass cracked or damaged, rust and or prior damage repairs, etc… The title is clean under title type is states normal, under odometer is states exempt. The odometer does not function on the vehicle. The Thing drives good, it takes so getting use to, but overall it drives straight, it stops good, pulls to the right some when you brake, trans is good, shifts nice. It starts great fires right up, I've had to charge the battery after not driving it for a few months.The wiring is in excellent shape nothing hanging out all where it should be. All lights and horn work just fine. Doors all work prefect the key does not work in the looks. The windows are good no cracks and the sides slide good. There is some rust spots but nothing major, the Thing is just like we got it we have fixed nothing. I can't say if anything was fixed or replaced before I got it, it all looks good to me.
