1982 Honda XR

Offering this exceptional example of the XR250 for auction. Bought this from original owner a while back, and have decided to move it and a few other bikes along. Check out my other auctions. This bike did not need much to look this good. I did normal carb cleaning and oil change, freshened up the side number plate backgrounds, front number plate background, and put on a new left grip to replace the original that had a tear. That is pretty much it, and the bike looks amazing. Smooth, easy cranking, four stroke power from the Honda motor. All the XR line were known to be very dependable, and although this 30 year old bike is offered with no warranty, it certainly should give someone a lot of good use. Very comfortable seat, and the cover is original, with no tears! Original chain and sprockets are still on bike, and are pretty much used up. I have good sprockets, front and rear, that will go with the bike. Add a chain, and maybe a fresh rear tire, and this would look like 1982 all over again! There is a need for a airfilter, and the bike does have one damaged component in that the tip of the baffle is rusted. I have not attempted to get the headlight and taillight working, but they are present and probably just need bulbs. Original plastic is in great shape, with just some discoloration on the front fender. Let me know if you have questions. I want the new owner to be totally happy.
