Vehicle Detail
This vehicle is offered for sale via internet auction to settle an Estate in Northern Virginia. The car is located approximately 25 miles west of Washington D.C. Great touring car. This car received a complete restoration between 1991 and 1994. The entire driveline including the transmission, suspension and overdrive were overhauled. A Lebaron Bonney Interior was installed in the car. The majority of chrome was replated and all stainless trim was polished. It appears that all of the glass except for the front vent units were replaced. The donor car was a 96K mile Southern car that was never rusty. The car has only been approximately 5000 miles since completion and was driven to events in Charlotte N.C. and Branson MO with no problems. The car is finished in Roanoke Green and Trojan Grey. The owner recently passed away and we are assisting the Estate to sell the car. The motor starts right up and is whisper quiet. The transmission and clutch pull out smoothly with no chatter. All of the instruments-except the clock- work and the oil pressure holds 35 lbs when hot. The radio hums and will occassionaly pull in a signal-but appears to have a tuner problem. Please examine the undercarriage pictures to see how nice the floors are in this car. This car won its AACA Senior award in 1996 and it's Dearborn Award in 1998 scoring 975 out of 1000 losing 16 points because of dual exhaust. The car has held up extremely well in 18 years -always garaged -with only several flaws noted which are too small to show up in photographs which include a small scratch which has been touched up where the hood once touched the spotlight. There is also a small paint bubble at the bottom lower wheel arch area on the drivers side. A small crack in the paint is evident in the bottom of the Rear Drivers Side "dogleg" in front of the fender skirt along with a small paint bubble between the Passenger Side rear tail light and trunk apron. There is a very small wear area on the Drivers Side interior door panel. The steering box and suspension are all rebuilt and the car drives and feels like it has power steering. All parties are urged to inspect the car and take a ride in it. Clear Virginia title to convey with car. This car could not be duplicated for the minimum reserve asking price. There is with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied and with all faults known and unknown. Item will convey with clear Virginia title.
