1975 VW Super Beetle to restore or use for parts. Unfortunately, we had an engine fire. The fire burned all the top end of the motor and caught the convertible top and interior on fire. Before the fire, it was in excellent condition. It has good floor boards that were undercoated, good rear fenders on the rear, one good fender in the front (the other front fender was dented by the firemen), two good bumpers, two good doors and a good gas tank under the good hood. All under the front hood was untouched by the fire. The fire was put out before it reached the gas tank. The convertible top frame still folds. The care to bring it back would need the inside cleaned out etc. It is on a good rolling frame. It has 4 good wheels and 2 almost brand new tires (both rear tires have heat damage from the fire). The only body rust that we are aware of is on the rear quarter panel at the bottom just in front of the rear fenders. This would be excellent to do a resto mod or use a car kit to convert it. See photos. We have been told that about 5300 of these cars were made. Being rare, it deserves to have someone restore it!
