Vehicle Detail
I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, extended cab, SR5, 4 wheel drive, 2.7L, 5sp manual with 143K miles for sale. The truck is clean in and out, has not been abused, and has no odors of smoke or otherwise. I have been the sole owner and operator for the past 6 1/2 years and 70K miles. The truck was purchased in California (where it was made) and driven to Virginia. I have replaced all the fluids with synthetic except for the engine oil which gets changed every 7,000 miles with high quality oil (the oil comes out looking very much like it did when it went in). The body has some slight age marks on it but nothing bad. It runs perfect, has no leaks, is reliable, comfortable and will go anywhere. These trucks really are the top of their class and this one can be expected to run for another 70-100K miles or more without any trouble, as it has done for me. The truck has a 2.5" lift and the Fabtech coilovers make it ride like a dream, full control and comfort, I cant say enough about the front suspension. The header gave a small increase in power lower in the RPM range. The only problem with the truck is the tailpipe came off at the muffler, it didnt effect anything so it never made it high enough on my list of priorities to go back on. The alarm system is an Alpine 8040 custom install with the motion detection unit stealthily installed in the center console. It allows for two adjustable zones of detection, an exterior perimeter which warns people to stay away with chirps if they linger within the zone for too long (I have this turned off, but it is easilly reactivated through the remote), and an interior zone that sets off the alarm. This was top of the line in 1996 and has never false alarmed. The stereo is a hi end Alpine head unit with controls for an Ipod and user settable crossover points for the bass and treble, as well as separate crossover and volume control for the sub-woofer. The Alpine amplifliers and crossovers for the speakers are mounted under the front seats. The sub-woofer enclosure is a custom unit designed specifically for this truck and woofer combination, I have included the frequency response curve in the photos. It is clear and tight without any boominess, and covered in cardboard to look like a box of work rags (I lived in a very bad part of town when i built this). Can you tell I was really into mobile audio for a while? It was my profession for 7 years. The front bumper is handmade from mild steel tubing, it is no longer perfect but is still nice. There is a rail around the bed that allows for infinitely locatable tie down points inside and outside of the bed. Also, the vehicle has been inspected at the dealer for frame rust, it was clean and an additional undercoating treatment was applied about 18months ago. Virginia vehicle safety inspection was passed in August. Extras include: 32x12.50 BF Goodrich MT's on Aluminum wheels FabTech coilover front suspension Custom tube front bumper Downey Off Road Header w/ Magnaflow exhaust Add a Leaf rear spring Alpine 8040 alarm system with dual zone interior motion detection. Alpine 9885 stereo with Ipod control, dual Alpine amps, component speakers front and rear, and custom stealth JL audio sub woofer enclosure behind drivers seat. All professionally installed, and sounds amazing. This is audiophile grade sound. In dash Cobra CB radio Bed load tie down rail. I also have extra wheels for sale: A set of 4 225/75-16 BF Goodrich Radial Long Trail tires on alloy wheels with 3-6000 mile on them. I bought them new about a year ago for daily drivers. 2 nearly new 32x12.50 BF Goodrich MT's on steel wheels.
