This is an original 10th Anniversary 1980ZX. Number 1768 of 2500 Black/Gold cars produced. It is an original California car that I purchased in January of 2008. Prior to my purchase it was always in California and I am the third owner. It has been stored in a controlled environment. The car has absolutely no rust. I have replaced items due to age, not miles. Those items include all engine related hoses, drive belts, spark plugs, fuel filter, battery, water pump, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, brake hoses, clutch hose, and all suspension bushings. The shocks and struts were replaced with KYB’s and the muffler was replaced with a stainless steel Magnafow. Tires were also replaced. Suspension parts including sway bars and shock assemblies have been powder coated. Regularly scheduled maintenance completed as required. I added a "Wheel Skin" leather steering wheel cover (which can be removed) to protect the original wheel. The exterior and interior are in excellent condition. The odometer currently reads 19,759 original miles. The car had a little over 15,000 miles when I purchased it. It drives great and there are no mechanical issues. Everything works. I have entered the car in many local, state, and national car shows and it has always placed first in class. I took the car to the National Z Conventions (ZCCA) in 2010 and 2011. It won first in class both years. In 2010 judging it received 284 points on a 300 point scale and in 2011 it received 287 points, narrowly missing the Gold Medallion Award by 3 points. Deductions noted could be easily corrected. While attending the National Z Convention at Nissan National Headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee in 2010, it was featured on “My Classic Car” with Dennis Gage (May episode). The California license plate and original owner’s manual signed by Yutaka Katayama (Mr. K.) – Father of the Z Car – will be included in the purchase. The original shift knob is also included as is an original valve cover that has been powder coated clear. Prior to my purchasing the car, it passed it’s last California Smog Certification Test in 2006 and nothing has been done to alter emissions equipment since that time. I have some of the past records, including past California Smog Testing and pictures of the car prior to my purchase. I also have detailed records since it has been in my possession. I have some NOS engine related parts that will be included in the purchase price. There are fewer and fewer of these 10th Anniversary Cars left and this is one of the best. This "Z" is a high quality collector car that needs nothing, and can be driven and enjoyed. A truly "Awesome" machine. Please, serious bidders only. Please ask any questions before bidding.
