The new grille slanted back towards both the bumper and the hood lip along the horizontal plane and sat between quad headlamps. New forward slanting front roof pillars with non-wraparound windshield glass was seen. The revised backlight (rear window) treatment had crisp, angular lines with thin pillars on some models and heavier, semi-blind-quarter roof posts on others. A new short-deck sedan was situated in the 6300 lineup, ostensibly created for rich dowagers with small parking stalls in their luxury apartment houses. Rubberized front and rear coil springs replaced the trouble prone air suspension system. Wheelbases were decreased on most models. Four-barrel induction systems were now the sole power choice and dual exhausts were no longer available. Series designation trim appeared on the front fenders.This 1961 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is nearly an all original car that is finished in its original color of Laredo tan. While not perfect, the car is in very good, original condition with original paint. There are a few spots where the paint is thin and appears to have been buffed through years ago. The front and rear chrome bumpers look good and have a good shine to them but do show some pitting and scratches. Nothing uncommon for a 51 year old car. Stainless trim looks great all around. Inside, the two tone Sandalwood interior appears to be nearly all original and in very good condition. The seats look great with no rips or tears to be found. The carpet, door panels and headliner are all in good original condition with only some minor wear showing. There is some pitting to the sides of the front seat. The dash does show some cracking. All power windows work with no problems. Under the hood, the 390 Cu In V8 is nicely detailed and shows extremely well. With cruise control, power steering, power brakes and A/C, the car has everything you need for a great driver! Connected to the automatic transmission, the car is a joy to drive.In the trunk, you will find older carpet. The steel wheels are all covered with correct Cadillac hubcaps and wrapped with wide white bias ply tires. The current mileage shows 124,230 which is believed to be original for the car. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax.
