Up for sale: 2003 VW Jetta GLS 1.8T. I have owned the car for about 2 1/2 years. The Car has been a great work car for me but I own two other cars and just don't want to put any more money into it. Any questions feel free to ask and thanks for looking. The Good: Auto Trans with tiptronic Shifter Heated Cloth Seats Power sunroof. Sony CD player with Monsoon system 8 speakers and AV input. New timing belt at 138K miles Just replaced A/C condensor and Radiator also at 144K miles. Just Pa inspected for 8/13 Power windows and locks. Fog lights. The Bad: About 6 months ago the car starting having issues shifting out of first gear. Had it checked out at a garage and they think 1st gear is starting to slip. It almost acts like a speed sensor is going bad or something. I still drive the car everyday to work so the miles may vary slightly. what I do is let the car warm up for a couple mins and if it "acts up" in 1st I run the rpms up to 6K and let off and it shifts gears. Once the car is warm it will not usually do it the rest of day. The engine trans code is "EYP" i already looked into a trans and it would prob be around 1200 used + install. Maybe cheaper, but thats what I found.
